Look good and feel great with CBD
Cannabidiol is a natural remedy used for many ailments that is now being widely used in the skincare market
Commonly known as CBD, cannabidiol is a naturally occurring compound found in the cannabis/hemp plant. Confusingly cannabis and hemp are actually the same plant but come from different parts of it.
Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the main psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis, which causes the sensation of getting ‘high’ often associated with marijuana. It is important to note that the THC part is not used in CBD oil, which is instead made by extracting CBD from the part of the plant that is called hemp
This can be pure or diluted with a carrier product such as coconut oil. Unlike THC, CBD oil is not psychoactive, and is an attractive product for skincare and other health benefits.
Skin
CBD oil can be used to treat many skin conditions, including acne. It works particularly well on teenage and adult acne because of its anti-inflammatory properties and can be taken internally with drops or spray in the mouth. It can also used in cream formulas usually diluted for use on the skin.
CBD oil is also good for psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and eczema as, used regularly, it balances the autoimmune system.
Anti-ageing
CBD oil is also an important anti-ageing product, as the hemp seeds are packed with Omega 3 oils, which work alongside the anti-inflammatory benefits by plumping cells, making skin thicker and therefore more youthful. Studies have shown that after consistent use of CBD oil, skin conditions have vastly improved.
Hair
Using hair treatments that are infused with CBD oil will have your hair crying out for more. No, you will not get ‘high’, and, yes it really does benefit your hair. High in vitamin E and fatty acids, CBD Oil feeds the scalp and fortifies the hair, thereby encouraging hair growth. It will also encourage stronger scalp tissue, which results in hair follicles increasing faster and longer hair. CBD oil may also help with anxiety, pain relief and as an anti-inflammatory
Anxiety
Cannabidiol (CBD) oil has become a widely preferred remedy for anxiety. CBD oil offers positive results with less side effects, unlike pharmaceutical medicines. While some individuals take CBD oil to soothe their everyday worries, others use it to treat more serious conditions like general anxiety disorders. Because CBD oil has no addictive properties, you will receive no ‘come down’ after effects once you stop taking CBD oil.
Pain relief
CBD does not affect the same receptors as THC, the cannabinoid that produces the euphoric high that is received when using marijuana. Therefore you will not feel sensations of getting ‘high’ when using CBD. Instead CBD influences the body to use its own endocannabidoids more effectively. There is extensive evidence that CBD oil can be effective for chronic pain in adults.
Anti-inflammatory
It has been proven that CBD oil can also act as an anti-inflammatory. CBD oil helps to reduce inflammation throughout the internal organs and in many parts of the human body including the shoulders and back.
